Thanks for spotting that @MichaelC! Of course, I couldn't resist adding a lengthy comment on YouTube below the video.
Edit on above: YouTube deleted my comment! Wonder why? YouTube's algorithms presented me with this rap video about a MINI Cooper SE. It's not very good, but I can't fault the algorithms for that.
More edit: I figured out YouTube deleted my comment because I included a link to my 10-second anti-scoop slide-show. The comment wasn't deleted after I entered it without the URL.
Saw a (sidewalk?) gray SE with a black roof on my way home, in western Minneapolis suburb of New Hope. It was definitely an LCI (2022+) model, but I guess gray is no longer an available color so likely a 2022?
Nope, the one I saw had no stripes and also black mirror caps. Btw I really like that Wattson has a grille badge.
Yeah. Too bad it didn't have a white top and JCW spoiler. I can just visualize the BMW ///M4 bucktooth grille.
Hopefully there'll be an option on "JCW-style" to body-color some of that. I can't see myself ordering a black J01 just to lessen the impact of that gaping maw.
I went to an EV event last week, hosted by a company that makes EV chargers. We got a tour of the whole production facility, which was pretty interesting. There were over 100 EVs there, so very cool. Teslas were by far in the minority (probably because they weren't interested in J1772 EVSEs). But the best part was there were four SEs at the event! I thought I'd be the only one. On top of everything, the CEO drives one and his is on the right. The fourth one showed up a little later and wasn't able to join our line, but the owners were awesome. And yes, that's Wattson in the middle so I got to meet u/mgormsen from reddit.
Once again, I was the lone SE at the last gathering of our area Mini enthusiasts. We did a road trip on narrow (1.5 car wide) curvy hilly roads for about three hours. 30 ICE Mini's of various persuasions and 1 SE. Delightful ride. Many of the road sections were canopied by trees and most of them were hills with views both up and down. I was, however, disappointed by the absence of other SEs.
Did mgormsen tell you about his electric 1000+ mile round trip to Mackinac Bridge for MINI on the Mack? That's also so cool that the CEO drives a MINI SE too!
Yeah, we had a good talk about that. He said a stretch in the UP was the only real time getting to a charger with the SE's range was an issue.
Saw a MINI Cooper SE at... ... Rathausplatz (city hall plaza) in Vienna ... and a couple while walking around Krakow
