My sister tells me there are a lot of Teslas in North Bay, a place with long, cold winters, and the nearest Tesla location over 350 km away.
PlugShare says North Bay has a 6 stall 250kW Supercharger? What's missing up here North of Barrie is high wattage CCS chargers. One of the reasons we currently prefer Tesla.
Makes sense to me but I have never owned a practical vehicle. Everything has either been a sports car or diesel truck. A car has to excite me to buy it. I don't care about fuel costs, maintenance, efficiency or practicality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Obviously you haven't spent much time in a Porsche 911 at Laguna Seca Raceway. Now that's fun to drive. Yes that me driving. Seriously considering converting my 914-6 to electric for time trials and autocross events. Got to love instant torque, no shifting and one pedal driving
No shifting would be a major negative for myself and many track day people. It's one of the small items that actually makes the experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I suppose. But I have rowed around enough tracks that I have gotten to the point that I am fine focusing on my line and breaking points and apexes and wouldn't miss shifting, or missed shifts at 9000 rpm (ouch) the old 911 gear boxes were not real precise and the 914-6's are even worse.
I think Fastnf was just trying to say SUV's do not have good handling compared to a sports car. Even in ICE vehicles , very few SUV's get good reviews for handling with the exception of the Porsche Macan Dan
Would the 2021 BMW 330e PHEV still be considered decent ? Electric range is 22 miles ( 35 kms ) but still RWD with good handling. Rebate is $2500 ( Canada ) Seems the BMW i3 is now out of state, they have not made many changes since introduction... Dan
Actual handling and driving nice are two different things. BMW SUVs drive really nice. Braking and steering feedback is excellent. But saying the handling is amazing is not realistic. It's an SUV, it can't handle well without adding "for an SUV" at the end of a sentence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The BMW 330e is not a SUV but part of the 3 Series sedan https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/06/24/test-drive-2021-bmw-330e/ https://insideevs.com/news/365541/bmw-330e-sedan-specs-photos-videos/
